March 2018 Dismantling and burning: the end for this season
At the vineyard …
At the beginning of February, while the moon is in a downward phase, the first step of size (disassembly) ends.
Follows the continuation of burning the branches. This phase ends just before the end of this month.
While the temperatures are wintery, the last 2 days are devoted to the application of compost and organic organic according to the plots.
An organic fertilizer that promotes the recovery of activity at ground level (micro-fauna).
A compost (young manure of cattle) rich in nitrogen which is more structuring for the soil.
At the cellar …
A vintage of Vosne Romanée is bottled on February 7th.
Then the Vosne Romanée 1er cru “the Suchots” are on February 26th.
