At the vineyard…

August is a hot month with heat waves following one another.
This canicular period was accompanied by a particularly notable absence of water.

The veraison and ripening were very heterogeneous.

This year, the harvest was irregularly affected by several different phenomena:

*some berries marked by the spring hail (berries with scars),

*scald due to the summer heat (roasted logs)

*grapes that are beginning to ” dry out ” (berries that are emptying of their juice) due to the heat peak that precedes the start of the harvest.

The start of the harvest is scheduled for 29 August.
