June is therefore a crucial month, when technical choices have a major impact on the final quality of the vintage.

June is also a strategic month in which to support the growth of the vines while preparing them for healthy, balanced fruiting. It’s all manual, technical work that takes time and a great deal of observation.

During the month, pruning, trellising and trimming (lightly pruning the ends of the branches to limit growth and encourage light and ventilation) are carried out at the same time and at the same rhythm as the growth.
You should continue to protect the branches by putting them in the wires as they grow.

In June, the grapes change stages rapidly.
Following flowering, the grapes set: this is the transformation of the fertilised flowers into small grape berries.
It gives an initial idea of how many bunches the vine will bear when ripe.

At this stage, the disease mildew is not very common and there is no trace of oidium.
