In the vineyard…
At this phase, the ripening is very variable. At the same time, some vineyards see the very first berries ripen, while others are already over half-way through the ripening process!
Temperatures are high at the end of July.
The dry conditions are beginning to be felt with some yellowing of the adult leaves.
Concerning the oidium in little affected vines, the disease does not grow any more.
Sometimes, the attack increases slightly. Most of the time, it is a blackened powdery mildew.
It is the progress of the ripening process that will calm the disease.
On the vegetation side, the last passages for trimming are made.
The final soil work is done both mechanically and manually.
